Civilization VI Announced, Coming This Year

2 and a half decades later on the original was released, Firaxis has appear the next game in the Civilization franchise.

And the best part of the announcement is that this won't be a long drawn out marketing campaign filled with minor reveals and months of 'mystery'. Civilization Half dozen volition be available to pick upwards on Oct 21st.

New features will include expansive empires, with cities growing across multiple squares on the map. Diplomacy will change over time, ranging from early disharmonize-focussed civilizations to more mod options as history progresses.

Support units can now exist embedded with other types of unit, while similar types of units tin can combine into 'corps'.

Civilization Six will contain new multiplayer modes, new tutorials, enhanced options for veteran players and is available to pre-order at present for $59.99/£49.99/€59.99.
